Polypsych
Polypsych was founded in 2015 by Anthony Lindsay and Stephanie Moreno. It is an independent research institute that facilitates inter-disciplinary collaboration, produces actionable research, and breaks down research for the layman.
In 2020-21 we are producing data on the coronavirus, spearheading inter-institutional collaboration on covid research, and producing public policy recommendations to ameliorate the effects of the pandemic.
Under the supervision of Professor Marc Hetherington at the University of North Carolina, we are working on the development of the P-Func dataset.
P-FUNC is funded by the Raymond H. Dawson chair in Political Science, and carries out political surveys of the American electorate. Our primary objective is to provide insight into Americans’ worldviews and the building blocks for their political opinions. We will combine our the current waves of survey’s with publicly available data on the coronavirus to provide public policy recommendations on issues ranging from covid-19 and domestic conflict, to global warming and economic policy.
Polypsych will make its data collections, and policy recommendations publicly available and the collaboration portal will allow UNC Political Science faculty and graduate students the opportunity to pursue their own research agendas.
